Boats of displaced handed over to them
Boats and out board motors of some of the displaced persons from Puthumathalan, Mathalan and Mullivaikal areas were handed over back to them by the Navy yesterday.
On the request made by the fishermen, the Social Services and Social Welfare Minister and EPDP Secretary General Douglas Devananda contacted the Navy officials and made arrangement to handover these boats and out board motors back to the owners.
The Vanni fisher � folk escaped from the battle field during the final stage of war in their boats, handed over the boats and out board motors to the navy and went to the welfare camps.
