Sources from Temple Trees said the President has assigned his Media Secretary Vijayananda Herath to carry out the media campaign against General Sarath Fonseka and Mahinda Illepperuma from the Presidential Media Unit has been tasked with finding relevant stories for the operation.

Vijayananda Herath had recently shouted and threatened a journalist loyal to General Sarath Fonseka who had arrived at Temple Trees to cover one of the President’s events. Vijayananda had asked the journalist to watch closely to what his boss would be faced with in future.

Vijayananda had further asked the journalist to tell General Fonseka that details about his family and his involvement in various corrupt activities would be revealed if he made too much noise.
