Suriya’s KS Ravikumar directed Aadhavan, has been sold for Kerala for a whopping Rs 1.25 Crore!

It is the highest ever price for a Suriya film in Kerala. The actor’s last release Ayanwas sold for Rs 80 lakhs and went on to do business worth Rs 1.25 to Rs 1.35 crore. The film collected a share of Rs 13.5 lakhs from SL complex in Thiruvananthapuram and 11 lakhs from Kozhikode Davison, record for a Tamil film.

Suriya is on par today with the most popular Tamil hero in Kerala, Ilayathalapathy Vijay. Suriya has worked his way up with Kerala’s predominantly youth audiences. In Thiruvananthapuram, you can find more hoardings of Suriya fan clubs than any other Tamil actor.

If Aadhavan turns out to be a hit, Suriya is all set to become the ‘Numero Uno’ Tamil hero ahead of Vijay, Kamal and Vikram who are the other stars with phenomenal reach in Mallu land.

Now with Kerala’s own Nayanthara by his side Aadhavan should take a fantastic bumper opening as it is likely to release in nearly 85 screens across Kerala.
