A secret meeting had taken place between UNP’s Kurunegala District parliamentarian Johnston Fernando who also plays a key role in agitating against the party leadership and Presidential Coordinating Secretary Sajin Vaas Gunawardena at the Ward Place residence of well known business agent, Renuka Shanmuganathan.

Renuka Shanmuganathan is the sister of parliamentarian Nirupama Rajapaksa’s husband, Thirukumar Nadesan who organizers poojas to invoke blessings on the President.

A news report was earlier carried in the website stating about Johntosn Fernando’s visit to temple Trees with Minister Mahinda Ratnathileka to meet with the President. Johnston responded to the story via e-mail and said he did not need anyone’s help to receive an appointment to meet with the President and he could meet with him after making just one call.
