Sources from the Sri Lankan embassy in Washington said that JVP and JHU members residing in the US have organized several well known legal experts to help Chief of Defence Staff General Sarath Fonseka who is being subjected to interrogation by the US Homeland Security Department during his brief visit to the country.

Although the Sri Lankan embassy in Washington has already assigned a legal company to look into the General’s affairs, these groups have decided to sought the help of additional legal experts as they were dissatisfied the legal team put together by the Sri Lankan mission.

Sources also said that moves by the General to seek from another well known legal company in addition to the one provided by the Sri Lankan embassy in the US was turned by the Defence Ministry.
