General decided to stay in official Army residence till he enters the President’s House

A coordinating official to General Sarath Fonseka told our Web that the General has decided to stay at his official Army residence down Buller’s Road until he enters the President’s House after the next Presidential election. The General’s lawyers have informed him that he was entitled to stay at the official residence as any retired public servant is granted at least three months for him to find a suitable place to move in to.
Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe had
informed the General that there was nothing wrong in operating his election campaign from his official residence as the President was
coordinating his campaign from his official residence.
The official said the General has decided to open his political office shortly in order to hold his discussions with other political parties as well as to meet with the media.
