CTB Employees Union office opened

An office for the Northern Province CTB Employees Union was declared open in the Vavuniya CTB Depot by the Social Services and Social Welfare Minister and EPDP Secretary General Douglas Devananda yesterday.
After the opening ceremony the employees of the Vavuniya Depot explained to the Minister that they are unable to provide with transport services to meet the demand of the commuters as there is no sufficient busses within their fleet, further they said they are unable to put all the buses in the Depot into operation due to the shortage of employees.
The Minister responding them assured to take the matter to the Transport Minister and to the President and do the needful to sort out all their problems.
